Hanafi completed his Bachelor in Jazz performance studying guitar with Bob Heinz.
He has worked alongside many well known local musicians including Stu Buchanan, Ian Edwards, Ariana Tikao, Courtenay Washington and Yulia. Hanafi is currently a member of the Christchurch Soul/Funk/Jazz group Eat My Shorts.
